Blessing Day
Yesterday was Addison's blessing at church. It's basically where the new baby is given a name and a special blessing. It can be quite a beautiful and emotional thing sometimes. It's also a time to present the baby to everyone and kind of celebrate their entrance into the world in a more reverent kind of way. So lovely.
Super cute little shoes
My sister Jen and her husband Chandler
(This will be them soon! Only with a little boy!)
Proud grandparents (my parents) with their first granddaughter
Super proud Mama!
Is this girl gorgeous or what!!?
This dress is extra special for 2 reasons: First, the lace overlay was cut from my mom's wedding dress. How beautiful is that? Second, Addison's grandma (R-Jay's stepmom, Colleen) made the dress! I was so pleased with it. She is so talented! Isn't the dress stunning?
It was a great day. I was grateful that R-Jay was able to give the blessing. I was also so happy that so many friends and family were able to come out and see us. There were several friends that I have not seen for a long time and that I love dearly (Hey Lib, Deb, and Ed!). It was a wonderful day.
